We slept well last night at the
Hotel en Restaurant Maasparel in Arcen.
Pia still doesn't find the bed very comfortable.
Breakfast is just as good as yesterday.
It's very quiet at breakfast today.
Today we're leaving for Apeldoorn again, heading home.
But on the way back, we want to drive via Kleve in
Germany to do some shopping; we think it might only be a half-hour detour.
After breakfast, we leisurely pack our luggage, that's done quickly, and load all that
luggage into the back of the car, making sure there's room for groceries as well.
As we load the bikes onto the back, Pia starts talking to the people who celebrated a
birthday at the hotel
the day before yesterday, the birthday boy turns out to be an 85-year-old man who lives
in Zutphen.
When checking out, we're a bit shocked by the bill, but Tom has forgotten that we didn't pay in advance, as usual. Of course, the bill is correct. At a quarter past ten, we leave, the GPS guides us flawlessly in the right direction, and almost an hour later, we're at Kaufland in Kleve. We mainly buy wine and cold cuts and then drive to Edeka, where we mainly buy meat.
Around two o'clock we're back home in Apeldoorn, no traffic jams on the way.
We unload the car and put away the groceries.
This trip is over.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
